Stacey Printz, Artistic Director of Printz Dance Project (PDP) is a Bay Area based choreographer, dancer and educator; she graduated Cum Laude from UC Irvine with degrees in sociology and dance.  In addition to teaching for A.C.T’s MFA program, she continues to teach at Alonzo King’s LINES Dance Center where she has been on faculty for 15 years and past semesters at St. Mary’s College, and Sonoma State University. She has taught her hybrid contemporary-jazz technique, mixing physically charged, contemporary dance with elements of jazz and hip-hop, for universities and studios across the U.S. -including classes in New York (Broadway Dance Center, NYU, Peridance), Memphis, Los Angeles (UCLA, El Camino College), Utah, Kentucky, Idaho, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon and more. Internationally, she has taught in The Virgin Islands, Curacao, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, Lithuania, Ireland and Italy. Her company has performed in San Francisco for 15 years, and has toured across the nation and internationally in Russia, Lithuania, Ireland, the Virgin Islands and Mexico. Her show, Hover Space, premiered to high praise, packed houses and reviewers saying, “With a talented cast, unique concept and inventive movement, Hover Space is a slam dunk.” Printz also collaborates on multi-genre, performing arts pieces choreographing: Aaron Davidman’s, “Wrestling Jerusalem”, Sarah Shourd’s The Box, and YBCA’s Director of Performing Arts, Marc Bamuthi Joseph’s internationally recognized works, "Scourge", "The Break/s", Bessie nominated “Red, Black & Green: A Blues” and upcoming work “Pehlotah”.  PDP’s newest evening-length dance, Glass Lands piece will premiere at Z Space, SF May 4th-6th 2017.  Printzdance.org
